The long anticipated, epic cruise adventure is finally here! Two worlds collide when Gloria and the Garden Girls meet up with Gloria's cousin, Assistant Cruise Director, Millie Sanders and her crew aboard the passenger cruise ship, "Siren of the Seas."
Almost immediately, suspicions are raised when a group of mysterious passengers board and then head straight to the bridge for a private meeting with the captain. Not long after, Andy Walker, Millie's boss, tells her the ship will have some "temporary" staff boarding for this cruise, something that has never happened before.
Later, after the ship sets sail, Millie stops by to greet the captain and Scout, and sparks fly when the captain invites Millie to dine with him in his apartment the following evening. When Millie arrives for her dinner date the next night, she discovers the bridge is locked and no one will answer the door.
At first, Millie is heartbroken, believing she has been stood up, but soon discovers that something sinister is going on inside the bridge after communications onboard are cut off and the ship stops moving.

I'd hope you've started from book one so i'm not explaining the concept of the series. You CAN start out of sync but might be a bit lost.
In this venture out, Millie gets a new roommate, who is the 'singer' Danielle, who happened to be a special agent and they mix like vinegar and water. She's not happy.
The ship is stopping at a new island. One Millie finds out has had some vacationers vanish so she is unsure of going there.
Danielle's first job is taking care of some VIPS that won a cruise. Three kids and their grandma. Danielle is determined to take the boys onto the island amidst Millie's insistence that she doesn't. They strike a deal, or so she thinks. Danielle follows through to ditch the boys, but the see her and follow her onto the island. Once she realizes they followed her she has no choice but to take them.
They end up disappearing just like everyone else did. Millie and Annette go to try to find them. To no avail. Then security gets involved.
Another lovely quirky mystery from Ms Callaghan.

In this frolic, Millie welcomes her cousin Gloria from the Garden Girls to the ship. What starts out as a fun adventure turns in to Gloria helping Millie out in trying to figure out who the strange men are that are aboard, and why the bridge is locked up and no one is answering. Millie find she enjoys the Captains company and loves taking care of his tiny Yorkie, Scout. Because the Captain had invited her for dinner she is confuddled as to why the Bridge would be locked.
Of course Gloria and Annette bond because of all their spy equipment! And Millie likes the help her cousin and friends are giving her. She wants to figure this out because, well, thats just what she does!

I think each book is better than the previous and they're all excellent! I like how the theme of each book is a little different and yet the story and the characters flow from one book to the next. Each one can stand on its own, but it's delightful to see things develop from One book to the next. I have now read six in a row and can't wait to read the remaining four!
This is a Christian cozy mystery that takes place on a cruise ship. Millie & coworkers are an interesting group that grow with each book in this series. They are well written, intriguing, and hard to put down! Most of the books have humor, friendship, and a little romance. Book 5's storyline is deeper and more serious. All the books are enjoyable!
Really enjoyed these books. Books 5 and 6 were a bit scarier for me, and kept me up late because I couldn't go to sleep without knowing what happened. I love reading books that make you care about the characters and it's even better when those characters are in a series. I love these characters and can't wait to see what they get into next.
I honestly like the romance, the mysteries are pretty good, some of them and weirdly. However, they do have a lot of fun characters, intrigue, and action. Overall I give it three stars because I wish they were a little bit more detailed. And some of the characters were more rounded thenthey appear.
I would recommend this book, for anybody who likes short cozy mysteries. It’s sweet, well-crafted, interesting. And has some really good recipes.
This trilogy is full of drama, surprises, and amazing twists in the plot. Connected from one end to the next, Hope Callaghan keeps one's interest, the romance, and the story going down Route I-95. Millie's life hardly skips a beat even though the ship's captain and their special romance are kept on hold while he is off the ship on a brief vacation. When he returns, a surprise awaits, but it is not his heart that is captured, but the entire ship. One must read this exciting trilogy to fill in the blanks. Your time will not be disappointed
Great! Such a nice read with interesting characters that you get to know over the course of the series & really come to care about. Good story lines with just the right amount of descriptive writing to make you feel & see the characters & locations, bringing right in to the center of the action. No gore, no foul language, no brazen sex or violence, that is all just disgusting, degrading & most unnecessary. And the characters show their faith. You see how their faith gets them thru the tough times & with gratitude make the good times better. Bravo Hope Callaghan & God bless you! I highly recommend these books to everyone!
Millie does it again! So suspenseful that I couldn't put it down! First the ship is hijacked by terrorists but Millie's cousin Gloria has the suite over the Captain's apartment. The antics the ladies get into by scaling the balcony, crawling along catwalks to shoot the terrorists in the engine room, and spying on the bridge are fascinating. Even Danielle manages to get shot at, rendered unconscious and kidnapped! Millie's romance with the Captain takes a leap forward in the aftermath of the grave danger the Captain faced. Absolutely fabulous book! Each book in this series just gets better and better.
